As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the many blessings in our lives. We recently shared a blog about how our pets teach us gratitude. At Shoreline Happy Paws, we are especially grateful for our dedicated employees, loyal clients, and their beloved pets. This season of gratitude reminds us of the joy and companionship that our furry friends bring into our lives and the beautiful Connecticut Shoreline that provides a picturesque backdrop for our adventures together.
Appreciation for Our Employees
The heart of Shoreline Happy Paws lies in our passionate team of pet care professionals. Their commitment to providing exceptional service and genuine love for animals ensures that every pet receives the attention and care they deserve. Whether during a daily midday walk, a playful romp in the yard, or a cozy cuddle session at home, our employees go above and beyond to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all pets in their care. This Thanksgiving, we extend our heartfelt thanks to each team member for their hard work, dedication, and unwavering love for the animals they serve.
Appreciation for Our Clients and Their Pets
We also want to express our gratitude to our loyal clients who trust us with their furry family members. Your support means the world to us, and we cherish the relationships we build with both you and your pets. It’s a joy to see familiar faces during our walks and visits, and we are honored to be part of your pets’ lives. Thank you for allowing us to share in your journey as pet owners; we look forward to many more adventures together.
Appreciation for the Beauty of Connecticut’s Shoreline
One of the greatest gifts of being located in Connecticut is the stunning landscape that surrounds us. The Connecticut Shoreline offers an array of scenic parks, trails, and beaches perfect for walking and hiking with dogs. From the serene paths at Hammonasset Beach State Park to the lush trails of Gillette Castle State Park, there are endless opportunities for exploration and bonding with our pets.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, we encourage you to take advantage of these beautiful outdoor spaces. Enjoying nature not only provides physical exercise for our dogs but also enhances our mental well-being. There’s something truly special about walking along the shoreline or hiking through wooded trails while surrounded by the vibrant colors of fall foliage.
Creating Lasting Thanksgiving Memories
This holiday season, we encourage all pet owners to embrace gratitude by spending quality time with your pets outdoors. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll on the beach or an adventurous hike in one of Connecticut’s many state parks and forests, these moments create lasting memories that enrich our lives.
As we gather around the table this Thanksgiving, let’s remember to include our pets in the festivities. A special treat or a cozy spot by the fireplace can make them feel loved and appreciated as part of the family. Following is a list of pet-safe Thanksgiving foods. We urge you to keep cooked bones, raw dough, onions, macadamia nuts, xylitol-based products, and nutmeg away from your pets as these can be dangerous/toxic to them.
Pet-Safe Thanksgiving Foods
- Cooked turkey meat, keep skins to a minimum
- Cranberries
- Plain veggies
- Plain apples, no core or seeds
- Baked sweet potato or pumpkin, no sugar or salt
- Green beans, before you make them into a casserole
