Purrfect Peace of Mind

Planning a trip? For cat owners, the question of kitty care can cause major stress. While boarding facilities and some veterinary practices offer a solution, cats thrive in the familiar comfort of their own home. That’s where Shoreline Happy Paws comes in! Our cat-loving pet sitters provide the purrfect alternative, ensuring your feline friend receives the love and attention they deserve while you’re away. Our services aren’t only for dogs – Shoreline Happy Paws is for cats too!

Benefits of in-home cat sitting

Cats are creatures of habit, and a change in environment can be unsettling, especially when cats go from having full access to their home into a crate or cage.

In-home cat sitting allows your kitty to stay in their safe space, surrounded by familiar smells and routines. This minimizes stress and anxiety, promoting a happier and healthier cat during your absence. From playtime and cozy cuddles to personalized care, we’ve got it all covered right in their favorite place.

cat sitting tasks

Our team isn’t just dog walkers; we have passionate cat sitters who understand the unique needs of our feline companions. We go beyond just filling food and water bowls. Our cat sitting visits include the following daily tasks.

Feeding and Fresh Water

We’ll ensure your kitty receives their regular meals according to your instructions, keeping their bellies full and happy. We’ll also provide fresh water, keeping them hydrated.

Feeder & Water Fountain Maintenance

We believe that pets deserve to eat from clean bowls and plates so count on us to wash bowls between uses. We’ll refresh water fountains as needed and maintain automatic feeders if indicated.

Litter Box Scooping

A clean litter box is essential for a cat’s well-being. We’ll scoop your litter box(es) daily, maintaining a sanitary environment for your pet. Want us to scoop during each visit? We can do that too! And, we’ll keep an eye on your robot litter boxes to ensure they are functioning properly.

Playtime and Cuddles

Cats crave interaction, especially once they get to know us. Our sitters will engage your social kitty in playtime using their favorite toys, providing much-needed exercise and mental stimulation. For cuddly cats, we’ll offer some purr- therapy with gentle petting and affection. Those that prefer to keep their distance will be greeted from afar as we never invade a cat’s space and always respect their body language.

Medication Administration & Health Checks

Our sitters can administer medication as instructed by your veterinarian. If we run into issues, we’re happy to work with you and your vet to come up with a solution.

During visits, we closely observe your cat’s behavior and inspect their stools and urine to anticipate health concerns or identify issues. We’ll alert you and your care team when indicated to ensure you come home to a happy, healthy cat.

Home Care & Security

In addition to caring for your pet, we take out the trash, collect your mail, and water your plants while you’re away.

Daily visits deter potential burglars and ensure your home appears lived-in. We bring in packages, alternate lights and blinds and collect newspapers, adding another layer of home security.

Attention to detail

Every cat has a unique personality and distinct needs. During our initial consultation, we discuss your cat’s routine, dietary requirements, and any special needs. We then design a personalized care plan and schedule to ensure your feline receives the attention he or she deserves.

Our team of highly trained professional pet sitters offers consistently exceptional service. Knowing your cat is safe and happy allows you to relax and enjoy your trip without worry. Plus, our dedicated team provides real-time visit updates, so you can travel worry-free knowing your kitties are in excellent hands every day that you’re away.
