Celebrating Professional Pet Sitters Week: A Pet Lover’s Dream Come True

March 04, 2025
By: Adriana Valle

This week, the pet care industry comes together to celebrate Professional Pet Sitters Week. This annual observance, founded by Pet Sitters International (PSI) in 1995, honors the dedicated professionals who provide exceptional in-home pet care services. For those of us at Shoreline Happy Paws, this week is a special time to reflect on why we love working in this rewarding industry. Today, we’re celebrating Professional Pet Sitters Week and encourage Connecticut Shoreline pet lovers to consider joining our outstanding team.

Honoring Professional Pet Sitters on Professional Pet Sitters Week

Professional Pet Sitters Week is more than just a celebration; it recognizes the hard work and dedication involved in caring for pets. This industry has grown significantly since its inception, and it’s now a respected career path for those passionate about animals.

During this week, we also observe Thank Your Pet Sitter Day on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Also founded by PSI, Thank Your Pet Sitter Day reminds pet parents to express gratitude for the care and love their pets receive from professional sitters. We encourage everyone to show appreciation by leaving positive reviews, sharing our social media posts, or simply saying thank you.

As professional pet sitters, we work independently, which allows us to manage our time effectively and enjoy the freedom that comes with it.
