ANIMAL LOVERS READY TO HELP YOU

Whether you are at work or traveling, your pets are in good hands with our highly qualified team.

Leave the care of your pets and home to a professional TEAM

Shoreline Happy Paws LLC is a professional pet care company based in Old Saybrook providing dog walking, pet sitting services, and peace of mind to Pet Parents since 2010.

SHP is a team based pet care service that allows Pet Parents to have more availability and flexibility in scheduling on a year round basis.

The relationships we build and the peace of mind we provide our furry and human clients are invaluable.

We understand that most people can be apprehensive of letting anyone in their home, but we are there to help when life happens: the loss of a loved one, a new baby, a new job, a divorce, four crazy kids, a new home, a new puppy, a medical emergency — you name it.

Our mission is to help you and your family give your pets the best life they deserve and make things a lot easier for you!

Meet The Team

Every team member is background checked, insured and bonded, Pet CPR and First Aid certified, and trained before they ever care for your pet on their own. You’re not trusting one person. You’re trusting a team that has each other’s backs, and yours.

WHY A TEAM, NOT JUST ONE PERSON? A lot of pet parents tell us they’d love to have the same single walker forever, and we completely understand. Here’s the honest truth we’ve learned over the years: a small, well-trained team actually gives your pet more reliable, consistent care than any one person can on their own.

YOUR VISITS DON’T GET CANCELLED. When your care depends on one person, a flat tire, a cold, or a family emergency means your pet goes without. With us, a trained teammate is always ready to step in, so your dog is never left waiting and you’re never left scrambling.

CONSISTENCY COMES FROM TRAINING, NOT JUST FAMILIARITY. Every member of our team is thoroughly trained to the same standards and follows the detailed notes in your pet’s profile, their routine, their commands, their quirks, where the leash hangs. So whoever comes to your door, your pet gets the same gentle, familiar care.

YOU STILL GET FAMILIAR FACES. We do our best to keep a small, consistent group with your pet, so they see the same friendly people most of the time, with a trained backup who already knows their routine.

MORE FLEXIBILITY, WHEN LIFE HAPPENS. Holidays, last-minute trips, a second pet, an early-morning let-out and an evening walk. A team can cover it all.

Adriana

Owner & Operator

I’m Adriana, owner and Chief Pet-Loving Officer at Shoreline Happy Paws. I have been a Professional Pet Sitter since 2010.

Ever since being a little kid, my family remembers me loving spending time with our dogs and farm animals all day long.

After leaving school, I started dog walking for a living in 110-degree heat in Qatar, my former home for six years. We were very successful and were the first full time pet sitting service in the whole country.

Groton, CT
Alex joined Shoreline Happy Paws in 2022, bringing more than a decade of experience as an animal trainer and Zoo professional straight to your home. She’s passionate about training and firmly believes there’s a creative solution to every concern, whether you’re working with a dog, a Komodo dragon, or a rhino. That background means she reads animals well, adapts quickly when a pet has other ideas, and is always happy to share a tip if you’re working on something at home.

She lives in Connecticut with her husband, their three wonderful dogs, and her many reptiles, and she genuinely looks forward to meeting your fur kids.

Alex is fully Background Checked, Insured/Bonded, and Pet First Aid & CPR Certified.

winnie

Lyme, CT

Winnie has been caring for animals for more than 30 years. She started young, and by her early 20s she was working as a professional petsitter in Richmond, Virginia, where she discovered that the job is really two jobs: caring for the pet, and giving the owner genuine peace of mind while they’re away. Both still matter to her just as much.

She’s comfortable with dogs and cats of every age and temperament, including reactive and fearful dogs, and she’s spent the years since raising two sets of twins alongside a full house of animals. That house currently includes Pallas, a Rottweiler devoted to belly rubs; Copper, a sassy Chihuahua rescue; Persephone, a 9 year old Basset Hound who rules the household; and Hecate, a 1 year old Basset who is very aware she’s the baby. Winnie’s favorite walks are by the water or through the woods, and she’ll tell you she can’t imagine family life without animals in it.

Winnie is fully Background Checked, Insured/Bonded, and Pet First Aid & CPR Certified.

BRITTANY

Clinton, CT

Brittany has been part of the Shoreline Happy Paws team since September 2025. Ask how she got here and she’ll tell you about Garland, a black cat left behind by his previous owners who spent 8 of his 13 years as her own. He’s the one who taught her that a bond with an animal is built patiently and on the animal’s terms, and that’s exactly how she works today.

Pet parents tell us they appreciate how steady and communicative she is. She follows each pet’s routine closely, takes care with the details that keep everyone safe such as properly fitted equipment and secured doors, and speaks up right away when something seems off rather than waiting to see. She’s genuinely curious about the animals in her care and keeps learning, which is exactly what we want in the people we send into your home. Her favorite place to walk is the East or West entrance to Great Cedars, and her soundtrack out there is always K-Pop or K-R&B.

Brittany is fully Background Checked, Insured/Bonded, and Pet First Aid & CPR Certified.

How do we hire?

“Any Pet Care Professional we hire, is a PCP I would personally trust in my own home taking care of my pets when I travel. And when they do care for them, they do a wonderful job and keep me updated via the mobile app. I always hire with that in mind. Even during 2021 with the great difficulty every business had hiring, I preferred to lose business being understaffed than hire the wrong person out of desperation. After all, we are sending our staff to clients homes. Their home is their temple.” – Adriana, Owner

We have a 12-step vetting and hiring process to carefully choose who will be a great addition to the team and explore in what aspects of the job they would thrive the most.

All Pet Care Professionals at Shoreline Happy Paws LLC complete a Federal and State Background Check before starting Orientation, Training, and Shadowing before their first service on their own.
